Detail
            IMPROMPTU

         Clay-Fire-Bronze

Clay, a most abundant material was there in the beginning, in mankind's caves, imaginings and hands, before recorded history.

Fire, was mankind's primeval companion of warmth and visions of what could be.

Inspiring objects, large and small, from ancient cultures through the present remain as examples of the use of chemically stable clay in serving man's natural "will to form."

For me, this inexhaustible fascination with clay relates to my need to stay in touch with the "basics." It makes a connection with my daily drink of water drawn moments before from our private well.
